Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s Joins CSULB Students at Community Resource Fair
Long Beach, California -- Oct 13, 2007 -- Graduate students from the California State University, Long Beach, Department of Social Work have organized a Multicultural Community Resource Fair to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Long Beach Boys and Girls Club, 1920 Lemon Avenue, Long Beach, California 90806. The Fair has been organized in collaboration with the City of Long Beach, The Youth and Gang Prevention Program of the City of Long Beach, Councilman Dee Andrews, Hashaway Community C.M.E. Church, and The AframGlobal Organization Inc. Village Projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to obtain and to share information and strategies related to after school programming for children of all ages, rent control and housing, neighborhood watch teams, low cost Medical, Dental and Legal Services, improving road conditions, planning for college, and career opportunities that make a difference in the community. There will be food and prizes for all ages, and multicultural entertainment. The Village Projects of AframGlobal Organization Inc is proud to be a co-sponsor of this worthwhile event. We invite all Village Projects advisors and supporters in the area to please plan to attend. We applaud the Social Work students at California State University, Long Beach for their work in making a difference in the community.
