Chi Eta Phi Southwest Regional Conference in Long Beach, CA March 8-10, 2012
Long Beach, California -- Feb 22, 2012 --

 

 

 

Long Beach, CA, February 21, 2012 --- Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc, an international organization of Registered Nurses with over 8000 members will host its Southwest Regional Conference at the Long Beach Renaissance Hotel, March 8-10, 2012.  The three day conference will include an Education Day focused on the theme: “Building Healthy Communities Through Advocacy, Collaboration, Education, Leadership, Research, and Service.”  The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Eric Williams RN- Professor, Los Angeles Southwest College. Other featured speakers will be Dr. Rachel Plotkin RN, Director, Community Outreach, Community Benefits, and Advocacy, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Long Beach; Dr. Patricia Hinchberger RN- Director MEPN Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and Ernesta Wright-Founder and Director, The Green Foundation. The closing keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Gloria Willingham-Toure’ President of Psi Eta Chapter, Long Beach.

 

 A networking dinner cruise aboard the Spirit Yacht will be held on the evening of March 9, 2012.  Persons with a vested interest in building healthy communities and service to humanity are invited to attend the workshop and the cruise.  Additional information may be obtained by emailing gwillingha@aol.com. Early registration for both events prior to March 1 is encouraged as space is limited.
