Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s Launches "Volunteer in Africa" Program
Building Knowledge of Health and Culture
Bellflower, CA -- Dec 31, 2012 -- Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s participants now have the opportunity to volunteer in Africa! The opportunities are made available in collaboration with Joyce Oneko, Director of Mama Na DaDa (see: http://www.mamanadada.com); and with Jared Akama Ondieki, Director of The Center for Partnership and Civic Engagement (see http://www.CEPACET.org) in Kenya. Both groups have a need for nurses, educators, researchers, videographers, and photographer volunteers. The Mama Na DaDa project provides a wide array of services to persons residing in a village outside Nairobi, Kenya. Additional opportunities are being negotiated in Nigeria, Rwanda, and parts of West Africa. Reports of Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s volunteers in Kenya will be included in the October, 2013, and March, 2014 retreat and conference. See http:www.villageprojects.net for additional information and to sign up.

“Our solutions are bigger than any one profession or job. We must reclaim our interconnections and learn to freely share information with each other, and to support the success of a new generation. We must create connections and collaborations. Our goal must be to move this system in the direction of caring what happens to persons who need it the most, and we must take our place in that effort. We will find a way to make a difference!"
