Working on Diversity Master Plan
Dec 7, 2005 -- Gloria J. Williingham (Toure') PhD, RN, Founder, The Village P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S.(http://www.regainingstrength.com) was recently selected to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee for the development of the Diversity Component of The Master Plan for the California Registered Nurses (RN) Workforce. The committee works under the auspices of the California Institute for Nursing and Health Care (Cinhc), and is funded by the California Wellness Foundation for the development of a strategically driven long-term plan to increase the ethnic and cultural diversity of the California nursing workforce. Dr. Willingham stated 'this work is definitely consistent the vision of The Village P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S.. My dream is to have at least one emerging leader from an underserved community in the State of California have the opportunity to participate and to learn along with me." Dr. Willingham is the President, founder of Psi Eta Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority Inc. (http://www.chietaphi.com), and is currently the Associate Dean, Academic Affairs, in the School of Educational Leadership and Change, Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, California (http://www.fielding.edu) .

We must create connections and collaborations. Our goal must be to move this system in the direction of caring what happens to persons who need it the most, and we must take our place in that effort.
